Sketch Commission Information

Price: 100 Euro (1 Character, DIN A4)

200 Euro (2 Characters, DIN A4)

Completion time: 1-3 weeks (7th of February latest), so the commission has a chance to arrive in time for Valentine's Day in most EU countries

- thumbnail(s) for approval

- downpayment (50% of commission price)

- approval of finished sketch (small changes still possible)

- payment of the remaining amount

I will only be able to take two (maybe three if something really tickles my fancy) commissions as they take quite a while to complete and I always want to do justice to the beautiful settings and characters you guys send me. :)

Heya!

I know you have been waiting for another cat update for a while now, so let's dive right into it. Let's start with my little problem children:

Tizian: Well, oh well ... where do I even start? So, he has herpes - something I found out shortly after adopting him which caused his initial eye infection. Said eye infection came back only a few weeks after we finally managed to get rid of it with some medication. So, another trip to the vet, another round of medication and hopefully that's gonna be the last round of it for a while.

Meanwhile he has been having these weird black patches on his nose that just wouldn't go away. So, we went to a dermatologist, she said it's probably due to the herpes infection as well, we went home. However, his nose problem seemed to get worse when he was on his herpes meds and seemed to never improve enough to go away. So we talked to our regular vet again, got a skin and fur care product against fungi and have been using that ever since. There seems to be some improvement with his nose but that might just because we clean and then dry his nose several times a day. So ... we will keep it up and see if it comes back once we stop using it after another week or two. x.x

Also, Tizian is eating and growing at an astonishing rate. I'll probably have to watch his weight when he's older and stopped growing so that he won't get overweight. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there. :)

Leonardo: Hah ... so, he has been losing weight since last year and we had to run several tests on him (poor him as he doesn't enjoy these trips to the vet at all). The first blood test we got back showed signs of an infection which may come from an actual infection or various other causes which are mostly way more severe. So, we had the lab run another test on the blood sample to differentiate but aside from it not being caused by FIP (which is good) we didn't find out anything more. So, back to the vet it was, Leonardo's lymph nodes were swollen (still, they have been since we went to get him first checked for his weight loss issues), so we decided to run an ultrasonic scan on him. Which revealed that some of his lymph nodes were enlarged to a point that it might be an indicator for cancer. So, the vet took some tissue samples for further analysis in the lab. Luckily, the analysis revealed that it's not cancer, so we got antibiotics to get rid of the infection (we still don't know the cause but the antibiotics helped as his last blood test results came back just fine) as well as some kind of gel to get his appetite up again. And ... it seems to have worked? He's able to at least keep up his current weight without any help (so I don't have to convince him every hour or so to eat some more). He even gained a bit of what he's lost back (probably thanks to the appetite gel).

Morgana: He was neutered in December and seems to have completely recovered from the procedure. He did have a rough time with his cone of shame, but luckily he only had to wear that for a couple of days. He's taking it easy with his weight gain at the moment but he's eating normally, so there's nothing to worry about. I'm pretty much just waiting for Tizian to overtake him with his ongoing growth spurt, even though there's still about 1kg of weight difference between the two.

Luna: She is the invincible, adapting easily and hardly ever causing us to worry. Except for her dental problem last year, but that's all in the past now. Her weight is more or less stable, although I have to pay attention that she won't get fat - she loves to overeat at times. ;)

And me? Well ... some might say no news is good news but it's just really starting to eat away at me. So, I've been at the specialist's place at the end of November, got an appointment for another examination at the hospital that was supposed to serve as preparation for a small surgery to take a closer look as the ultrasonic scans were inconclusive in some regard. Didn't get the tiny surgery but yet another appointment for another examination that is supposed to - you guessed it - serve as preparation to a different kind of procedure that's supposed to be less intrusive. Why? To take more samples and see what else might be going on there. They may or may not do more than that but will decide on the specifics on the spot it seems. So, fun times ahead. Waiting for another month. Another month where half of the time I'm in a lot of pain. With pain killers that either give me pyrosis or make me super tired and don't manage to get rid of the pain completely. On some really bad days, they don't do much of anything and I can do naught but sit here and wait and try not to go mad.

So yes, I'm frustrated and I'm exhausted. I just want to get back to doing art as much as I like and not as much as my current condition allows me to.

So, since people kept asking about updates about my cats ... here we go: We went to the vet (again) with Leonardo today. The vet drew some blood for analyzing it and also made an x-ray since Leo's lungs seemed to sound a little off. His heart rate was increased as well.He got a shot to relax his lungs slightly and Leo has been a bit more up and about since then (which is good). We'll get the results of the blood test some time tomorrow. Tizian is doing well aside from his skin/wound problem on his nose.We got an earlier appointment for a dermatologist next week after looking up another animal hospital in the area (there's only very few around because ... when do you ever need a dermatologist for your pet, right?). Morgana is doing really well as well. He got used to us, comes to play and eat and even accepts (and apparently needs) our affection. He still has difficulties actively getting our attention to get cuddles, but we're getting there. Also, he's not shy around visitors. And Luna? Well, she's up and about after her operation and (luckily) had no complications whatsoever, despite needing very special care and having a high risk of infection. She's completely healed up by now and gained back the weight she lost. And that about covers it for now. Let's hope Leonardo's condition improves soon and that we can find the cause for his weight loss. Also, thank you for your incredible support, everyone, you are amazing! And while I'm really grateful for all the extra donations (Thank you, truly! <3), there's no need to go that far because I have a tendency to always pull through somehow (mostly through sheer dumb luck). Buying something from my shop or joining my Patreon so you can get something out of it as well would be more than enough help, really! Also, my cats always come first so you won't have to worry about me delaying their vet appointments or anything. I'd never risk their health willingly (which is why I'm so adamant about building my extra vet cost reserves back up as soon as I can).

Life's been going ... not so great in the past few weeks. I really don't like whining (guess why I hardly ever write journals) but things are really starting to eat away at me.

One of my newly adopted kittens keeps getting sick and I hope we can get him to be completely healthy again soon. Meanwhile, my own health issues keep getting worse. I can't even remember the last day I was actually free of pain. I'm going to go see a specialist at the end of the month, so cross your fingers for me that at least this part is gonna improve. :')
